ALPHA REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Egypt and North Africa

The Director holds the vision for Alpha and has the capacity, skills, experience, and drive to lead the NAO and to execute the national strategy in alignment with the strategy of Alpha International.

Key deliverables

  • Manage and build on the long-term collaboration with the Alpha EMENA (Europe, Middle-East and North Africa team).
  • Report and be accountable to the National Alpha Board (NAB) in all areas affecting the purpose, vision and philosophy of the ministry and its policies.
  • Provide recommendations annually and report quarterly to the Board on the key measurable objectives for the Alpha entity reflecting both the existing and new priorities.
  • Oversee research into churches and ministry partners countries in North Africa to ascertain potential for Alpha.
  • Develop targets and execute strategy for Alpha in North Africa.
  • Appoint, direct, engage and manage all agents and employees of Alpha in respective countries and fix the remuneration thereof, as considered necessary to carry out the work of the ministry.
  • Develop partnerships and find and mobilize volunteers across Egypt and North Africa.
  • Create the annual operating and capital budgets and strategy for recommendation to the NAB and once approved manage throughout the year.
  • Oversee Ministry and Operations departments.
  • Oversee translation and contextualization of products.
  • Meet with international donors.
  • Work in partnership with ministries and church leaders of all denominations.

  • Alpha Egypt Board. Alpha MENA Director.

  • Professional gravitas and demonstrable business acumen.
  • Leadership skills to build, inspire and lead teams.
  • Excellent relationship management and people management ability.

Fundraising abilities

  • Proven project management skills: the ability to lead, implement, delegate and deliver.
  • Strong organisational skills: the ability to set priorities and plan ahead.
  • Outstanding communication skills: the ability to filter information and interact effectively especially around fund raising.
  • Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
